The two Prime Ministers had a cordial and constructive meeting. They considered the entire gamut of bilateral relations with a view to charting the way forward in India-Pakistan relations. Both leaders agreed that terrorism is the main threat to both countries. Both leaders affirmed their resolve to fight terrorism and to cooperate with each other to this end. Prime Minister Singh reiterated the need to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks to justice. Prime Minister Gilani assured that Pakistan will do everything in its power in this regard. He said that Pakistan has provided an updated status dossier on the investigations of the Mumbai attacks and had sought additional information/evidence. Prime Minister Singh said that the dossier is being reviewed. Both leaders agreed that the two countries will share real time, credible and actionable information on any future terrorist threats. Prime Minister Gilani mentioned that Pakistan has some information on threats in Balochistan and other areas." आखिरी लाइन में बलूचिस्तान का जिक्र है, जिसमें ये कहा गया है कि पाकिस्तानी प्रधानमंत्री ने बातचीत के दौरान कहा कि उनके पास बलूचिस्तान और दूसरे पाकिस्तान इलाकों में मौजूद खतरों से जुड़ी कुछ जानकारियां हैं। इसमें कहीं ये नहीं लिखा कि इस पर भारत का क्या रुख है। जबकि भारत में हुए आतंकवादी हमले की चर्चा पूरे बयान में है। पाकिस्तान ने इस बारे में हर संभव कार्रवाई करने का भरोसा भी दिलाया है। फिर भला इतना भड़कने वाली क्या बात है? साझा बयान में सिर्फ उन मुद्दों का ब्योरा है, जो बातचीत के दौरान उठे थे। इसमें तो वाकई कोई कमिटमेंट वाली बात नहीं है। पहले मैं भी वही सोचता था, जो आपने लिखा है। आपका लेख पढ़ते-पढ़ते लगा कि ज़रा साझा बयान को ध्यान से पढ़ा जाए। पूरा पढ़ने के बाद मेरी राय कुछ बदल गयी है।
